Some people are just made for the hospitality industry, and Melody Stolfus is no exception. As Restaurant Manager, Melody is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IowaStater, including the main dining room, private dining, and adjacent bar. All room service operations for Gateway Hotel are also under her direction.

Melody brings a new level of customer service knowledge to the Ames community. Starting her hospitality career as a server, she has been with the Gateway family since 2005. Working her way up, she fully understands the demands of each position in the restaurant industry, and is dedicated to creating a fantastic atmosphere for both guests and associates.

A truly enjoyable experience for each guest is what Melody strives for. Say hello to Melody when you visit the restaurant, and ask her about “her” Cardinals; she’s an avid baseball fan.
